It’s that time of year again, the days are getting warmer, the snow is slowly melting, Spring is in sight, and soon we will be in the thick of ‘Mud Season’. It is for these reasons and for the preservation of our roads that I have (in conjunction with Lisbon and other surrounding towns) posted our roads with a 6 ton weight limit. Any vehicles in excess of this limit will need written permission from the Road Agent. Permits are available at the Town Highway Garage.

Additionally, you will soon see Cemetery Road being Closed to Thru Traffic. Again, this is done to preserve the integrity of the road. It is open to those who live on it and for deliveries to those homes. I’m asking that all other traffic please be mindful of this request and to kindly avoid travel on this road until the ban has been lifted.
