ACT’s Summer ‘Shoes & Brews Kick Off: Get Rek-lis in the Garden with Pollinators
BETHLEHEM – Ammonoosuc Conservation Trust (ACT) kicks off its summer ‘Shoes & Brews series with bees and beer!
Join us Sunday, July 8 from 11 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. in Bethlehem for a leisurely meadow walk with host and ACT Trustee, Margaret Gale. Learn about native landscape plants for insect pollinators and see unusual milkweed varieties –hopefully in bloom! The walk and presentation will start at 11 a.m. and last approximately 1 to 1.5 hours with ample time for discussion and meandering.
Please leave your pooches at home, this is a no-dogs event.
The outdoor portion will wrap up around 12:30 p.m. with a 30-minute window for the group to make its way to the aprés-walk starting at 1 p.m. at Rek’-lis Brewing. Come enjoy a local brew with your local land trust at Rek’-lis on Main St in Bethlehem. Catch up with old friends and meet new ones in your community over snacks and refreshments. All are free to come and go as needed. As always, you’re invited to stay for a sit-down meal after the event!
Registration for the walk portion of this event is required – for your safety and enjoyment we must cap the walk at 15 participants so please be sure to pre-register ASAP. Be aware registration closes on Friday, July 6th. Once registered, you will receive an e-mail with details on the meeting location. Registration for Rek’-lis Brewing is appreciated so organizers can plan accordingly.
Not able to make it to both portions? You can join either or both. If you’re only coming to Rek’-lis, please bring a friend(s)!
This program is free and open to the public, with a suggested $5 donation to support ACT’s land conservation efforts. Advanced registration is required.
