In math, kindergarten counted out objects to represent 5 in multiple ways, and informally explored addition and subtraction within 5.  First graders explored pattern blocks, base-10 blocks, and geoboards in preparation for reasoning about shapes and their attributes. Second Grade explored even and odd numbers using concrete and visual models. They also skip counted on calculators and number grids and looked for place-value patterns in their counts. Third Grade was introduced to division as they solved division number stories and developed strategies for 2s, 5s, and 10s facts.

Paul Sanchirico former Head teacher (25-35 years ago) will be visiting the Blue School on October 31st at 9:00. If any former students of his want to stop by they can.
Thank you.
