From the desk of Jenn Locke, Select Board Chair;

The Zoning Board of Adjustment will have 2 positions up for election this year rather than 1. The filing deadline is TODAY January 29th by 5PM with the Town Clerk.  The ZBA also really needs people willing to act as alternates in case of conflicts of interest or absence.

The ZBA averages a very low amount of commitment, primarily meeting only when an exemption hearing is required, some years there are none. If you would like to fill a position but miss the deadline, you can let people know you would like to be a write-in, or you can contact the Select Board or Town Clerk at 838-6220 if you would be willing to act as alternate.  No prior experience is needed. However, we do expect at least one hearing this coming year and will need enough people willing to help so that it can happen. Thank you.
