From the desk of Judy Boulet, Landaff Town and School Moderator:

Thank you to the voters who came and voted, as well as those who attended the evening meetings for the Town and the School. During Election Day, there were 105 voters of the 336 registered voters here in town. That is about 31% of Landaff’s registered voters.

Thank you to Select Board Members Harry McGovern, Mary Beaudin, and Rachael Booth for their support and help throughout Election Day.

Thank you to School Board Members Matt Copithorne, John Barth, and Michelle Beaudin for their support and help throughout Election Day.  

The support for setting up and taking down Election furniture is always appreciated! Road Agent Jeff Nute is always on standby in case we need anything. 

A big “thank you” to the Election Workers who worked from 10:00am to around 10:00pm:

Supervisors of the Checklist Jaye Michaelis, Becky McGovern, Meghan Hamilton who worked as Pro Tem;

Ballot Clerks Dot Wiggins and Betsy Babcock;

Election Inspectors Rachael Booth, Matt Copithorne, and John Barth; 

Town Clerks Cathy Ferony, Asst. Dave Ferony, and School Clerk Jennifer Cartwright.

The Ballot Counting Teams are so diligent with the tally marks and totals. Thank you to Rhiannon Copithorne for filling in to complete a team. We have some very experienced ballot counters and some who are learning “the ropes”. 

This was the first year that the State, as per Federal Law, mandated that we use the ONE4ALL computer for Town and School Elections. Actually, anyone can use the ONE4ALL voting booth. 

Every year, the counting of ballots does get easier and easier, but Bud Fitch from the Office of the Secretary of State suggested that towns get someone to help who can come in with a “fresh set of eyes” when it comes to counting ballots. I asked Jen Locke to do that!  What a difference it made to have her expertise! Thank you, Jen!
