A mother bear was hit by a vehicle on Jockey Hill Road just before the village center 4 nights ago, killing her but leaving 2 cubs behind. Fish and Game have been looking for the cubs, which they would like to send to Ben Killam’s bear recovery center down in Lyme. If anyone sees the cubs, they should contact Dan Bailey of the F & G Wildlife Division (603) 271-1126.

That’s good to hear! Were you able to get a hold of the Fish & Game officer? If not, another officer came to our house, so I do have a different contact number and name if you I want it.
