GRAND OPENING OF NEW BRIDGE

The Selectboard of the Town of Landaff is proud to announce the grand opening of a new bridge on Sym Noyes Road in Landaff at 12pm on January 3, 2026.

In the summer of 2023 after a severe storm, the Sym Noyes Road bridge at the intersection of Mill Brook Road over Mill Brook in the town of Landaff failed, stranding the residents who live on the east side of Mill Brook.

With permission of a land-owning resident on that road, a temporary road was created to allow residents to access their homes until a new bridge could be constructed.

In March of 2024, Landaff town residents voted overwhelmingly to authorize the Landaff Selectboard to procure a bond for $250,000 and to allow the Board to seek contracts for building the new bridge. The firm of JA McDonald, Inc. of Middlesex, VT won the contract and Michie Concrete Products of Henniker, NH provided all pre-cast concrete structures. Excavation and construction of the new bridge began in August of this year.

The new bridge will officially open at 12pm on January 3, 2026, with a ribbon cutting at the site by the Selectboard of Landaff consisting of Mary Beaudin (chair), Harry McGovern, and Rachael Booth.
