Conservation Commission

From the desk of the Landaff Conservation Commission-

For those that might be interested in volunteering, please note that there is a vacancy on the Landaff Conservation Commission. While it is too late to have a name placed on the ballot for Town Meeting Day, we are encouraging write-in candidates.

What does the commission do? We walk the conservation easements in town each year and report our observations to the state-wide Conservation Land Stewardship Program. There are currently three easement properties in Landaff, and monitoring activities typically occur in the fall. We also conduct roadside cleanup activities in the spring.

If you are interested in protecting Landaff’s natural resources, participating in outdoor activities with your neighbors, and getting involved in a civic activity, then please consider asking a few friends to write in your name come March.

If you’d like to find out more, feel free to join us on the fourth Thursday of the month at 6:00 pm at the town hall.

Thank you,

-Landaff Conservation Commission-
