TOWN OF LANDAFF
2026 WARRANT ARTICLES

To the inhabitants of the Town of Landaff in the county of Grafton, and State of New Hampshire qualified to vote in the Town’s affairs:

You are hereby notified to meet at the Town Hall in Landaff on Tuesday, March 10, 2026.  The polls will be open from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm, and at 7:00 pm in the evening, to act upon the following Articles:


ARTICLE 1.  To choose all necessary Town Officers for the ensuing year.

ARTICLE 2.  To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $791,487 for general municipal operations.  This article does not include appropriations contained in special or individual articles addressed separately.

ARTICLE 3.  To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $27,215 for the Woodsville Rescue Ambulance.

ARTICLE 4.  To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $32,376 for Lisbon Life Squad.

ARTICLE 5.  To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $250 for the purposes of Above the Notch Humane Society.

ARTICLE 6. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $200 for the purposes of the American Red Cross.

ARTICLE 7.  To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $800 for the purposes of the Ammonoosuc Community Health Services.

ARTICLE 8.  To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $500 for the purposes of the Boys & Girls Club of the North Country.

ARTICLE 9.  To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $500 for the purposes of CASA – Court Appointed Special Advocate.

ARTICLE 10.  To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $250 for the purposes of the Center for New Beginnings.

ARTICLE 11.  To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $624 for the Good Shepherd Ecumenical Food Pantry.

ARTICLE 12.  To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $2,250 for the Grafton County Senior Center.

ARTICLE 13.  To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $2,000 for the purposes of the Lisbon Lions Club.

ARTICLE 14.  To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $4,000 for the purposes of the Lisbon Public Library.

ARTICLE 15.  To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $400 for the purposes of the Lisbon Main Street.

ARTICLE 16. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $1,375 for the purposes of North Country Healthcare.

ARTICLE 17.  To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $892 for the purposes of the Tri-County Community Action Program, Inc.

ARTICLE 18.  To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $482 for the purposes of White Mountain Mental Health.

ARTICLE 19.  To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $22,880 for part-time coverage for the Town to be provided by the Lisbon Police Department.

ARTICLE 20.  To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $10,000 to come from the Highway Department Equipment Capital Reserve Fund for the purchase of a 2005 Caterpillar double drum vibratory roller from Ammonoosuc Asphalt, Littleton, NH.  Recommended by the Select Board.

ARTICLE 21. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $20,000 to be added to the Landaff Culvert Repair Capital Reserve Fund.  Recommended by the Select Board.

ARTICLE 22.  To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $20,000 to be added to the Highway Department Equipment Capital Reserve Fund.  Recommended by the Select Board.

ARTICLE 23.  To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $6,000 to be added to the Transfer Station Equipment Capital Reserve Fund.  Recommeded by the Select Board.

ARTICLE 24. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $10,000 to be added to the Fire Department Equipment Capital Reserve Fund.  Recommended by the Select Board.

ARTICLE 25.  To see if the Town will vote to amend the provisions of RSA 73:39-a for elderly exemption from property tax in the Town of Landaff, based on assessed value, for qualified taxpayers, to be as follows:  for a person 65 years of age up to 75 years, $20,000; for a person 75 years of age up to 80 years $25,000; for a person 80 years of age or older, $30,000.  To qualify, the person must have been a New Hampshire resident for at least 3 consecutive years, own the real estate individually or jointly, or if the real estate is owed by such a person’s spouse, they must have been married to each other for at least 5 consecutive years. In addition, the taxpayer must have a net income of not more than $20,000 or, if married, a combined net income of less than $30,000; and own assets not in excess of $40,000 individually or if married combined assets of $55,000.  Recommended by the Select Board.

ARTICLE 26.  To transact any other business that may legally come before this meeting.

ARTICLE 27.  To see if the Town will vote to amend Statute HB 151, Section 41:46a to change the term of the Supervisors of the Checklist from six years to three years.  Recommended by the Supervisors of the Checklist.
