(October 6, 2017). Eleven firefighters from the Landaff Volunteer Fire Department reported to yesterday’s catastrophic house fire at 54 South Main Street in Lisbon. From noon to eight our guys laid over 500 feet of 5-inch hose line to supply water to the Lisbon and Littleton ladder trucks; pumped water continuously for over four hours with the new engine; ran a tanker shuttle to Bath to supply the Woodsville tower; and aided in traffic control in downtown Lisbon. After that they reloaded the hose, came back to the station, fueled the trucks, cleaned the gear, and prepared the equipment for the next run.
Departments responded from Landaff, Lisbon, Littleton, Woodsville, Bath, Sugar Hill, Franconia, and North Haverhill.
Thanks to all our Landaff volunteers!
