Kindergarten focused on the letter T this week and learned about the poem Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. In math, kindergarten identified and described shapes in the context of repeating and growing patterns. First graders were introduced to the Strategy Wall and learned the counting-on strategy and the turn-around rule for addition. Second Grade explored place-value concepts as they played The Exchange Game with money and practiced grouping by 10s using $1, $10, and $100 bills. Third Grade used basic addition and subtraction facts to solve problems with larger numbers.
