Explore the Wilds of Littleton with ACT’s September ‘Shoes & Brews!

LITTLETON –  Join the Ammonoosuc Conservation Trust (ACT) in Littleton for its Farewell to Summer ‘Shoes & Brews event on Saturday, September 14th from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m.!  Hike to a gorgeous view on the back of PRKR MTN’s TRAILS network, then head downtown for beverages and snacks at Crumb Bar, one of Littleton’s newest and most delectable eateries.

The ‘Shoes will start at 1:30 p.m. with a planned loop up the backside of Parker Mountain on the PRKR MTN TRAILS system. Led by our hosts from PRKR MTN TRAILS, a Littleton based non-profit that builds and maintains the trails, we’ll climb to Linda’s Lookout which offers a stunning panoramic view of the mountains, before returning to the trailhead. Kids are encouraged to come along and dogs are also welcome!

The group will move at a slow to moderate pace on the PRKR trails, made up of mostly single-track mountain bike trails that are open to outdoor recreation lovers year-round. The planned route is slightly harder than our usual hikes due to length and elevation gain. The loop is approximately 3.6 miles with a total elevation gain/loss of about 450’.

We’ll then head to Crumb Bar on Main Street in downtown Littleton for the Brews part of the event to enjoy some snacks and refreshments.  A big thanks to Crumb Bar for hosting this event for the very first time and creating special treats and snacks for us to enjoy! Come to catch up with old friends and get to know new ones.  All are welcome and are free to come and go as needed. The Brews will officially run from 4:00 to about 5:30 p.m. but you’re invited to stay and enjoy the brand-new evening menu offerings at Crumb Bar.

Not able to make it to both portions of the event?  You can join either or both.  If you’re only coming to the Brews, bring a friend(s)!

Registration for the ‘Shoes is required and capped at 20 participants for your safety and enjoyment, please be sure to register ASAP. Registration for the Brews is not required but is very much appreciated to help organizers plan accordingly.  Registration closes at noon on Friday, September 13.  To sign up today go to act-nh.org/education-events or call the office at (603) 823-7777.
