Vacation is right around the corner and the kids are very excited. This week grades K-3 had WMSI and the students finished working on creating their video games. The children have also filled their kindness bucket and we had a fun day. We watched movies and had a PJ day.
Unified Arts
Music – Learned about the Jewish Culture.
Library – Learning elements of a story and learning about maple sugaring.
Art – using parts of magazine photos to launch a drawing that is unique.
Spanish – Played Rock, Paper, Scissors in Spanish and read “Clic Clac Mu”
Guidance – Learning that feeling angry is natural but hurtful behavior is not ok. How to use positive self-talk to calm themselves.
Health – Learned about where our food comes from and how healthy food choices help our body.
Physical Education – Played basketball and capture the flag.
What we are Learning
Kindergarten students are learning the letter “X” and learning about the main ideas and details in a story. In math, they are learning about the attribution of shapes and the sign subtraction
Second graders are learning about cause and effect in a story. In math, they are exploring arrays, lengths, and shapes. They are also taking their unit 6 test.
Third graders are learning how to summarize to understand a story. In math, they are learning multiplication with bigger numbers, writing number stories, order of operations, and taking their unit 6 test.
Reminders
*Please bring in extra socks and clothes for your child(ren). Their socks and clothes are getting wet from being outside in the snow.*
*Please do not forget to have your child complete their homework.
