From the desk of Jason Cartwright, Landaff Volunteer Fire Department Chief;
From the Landaff Volunteer Fire Department
We will be having a live burn at 1095 Foster Hill Rd in Landaff. We will be starting at 8am and access on Foster Hill may be limited. The road will be blocked for any address beyond 1095. There will be no spectators allowed as there is no room for anyone. Please avoid this road. It is a very rural location.
You will see smoke on the hill and rest assured it is our practice burn. We are hoping to be wrapped up by noon or 1pm with little to no smoke showing past that point.
I just wanted to give everyone a heads up that it was happening. This will be a great training opportunity for our department and Sugar Hill and Lisbon are assisting as needed.
Sincerely,
Jason Cartwright
Chief – Landaff Volunteer VFD
PS – Remember Old Home Day is August 20 and there is a pre-meeting on July 14 at 6 pm. This year’s fundraising theme will be upgrading our boots to leather boots from rubber for our department as one of our many needs.
