From the desk of Sandy Brackett, Landaff Ledger Editor. Requested by Mary Blowey:
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing Wednesday of Landaff resident and Assistant Road Agent, Tom Blowey. Tom lived in Landaff since 1986 and had been an integral part of Landaff’s Highway Department for close to a decade.
As many of you were aware, Tom was sick for about two years and recently his health was declining. This past Sunday, he had a stroke and was airlifted to a Boston hospital. He was placed on a ventilator and many medicines. Mary has advised us that she was with him until the end and Tom passed as the “peaceful gentleman” that we all knew him to be.
Mary would like to thank the Lisbon Life Squad, Woodsville Ambulance, Jeff Dodge, Greg Hartwell, Audrey & Scott Champagne, and David Combs for helping Tom with his emergency. Your professionalism was outstanding. She thanks you for being so kind and caring.
Tom’s burial and Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, August 14th. A service and burial will be at 11:00 at the Landaff Cemetery with the Celebration of Life to follow at the Landaff Town Hall. Stop by and share a memory of Tom.
There as been a GoFundMe page set up by Nicholas Calvano to help offset medical expenses.
