From the desk of Mary Beaudin, Landaff Resident:
Dear Landaff neighbors,
I am writing to ask for your vote to be a member of the Select Board. I think I am best suited to address and assess the needs of the town.
I know many people in town, but we have many new residents who may not know me. I am a retired high school English teacher; the bulk of my career was at Woodsville High School. My husband Don and I have lived in Landaff for almost 36 years. Don has been on the fire department for nearly all that time. I served on the school board for 15 years. I also helped organize the Old Home Day dinner for many years, starting under the tutelage of Norma Titus (a community dinner legend). These days, I update Landaff.org website. The minutes of every Select Board meeting are posted after they are approved within days of their receipt. It is important for every voter to be informed and feel welcome to participate.
Don and I raised two children here. Michelle, our daughter, just recently moved back to town with her husband, Drew, and two sons. Our son, Paul, who made the Landaff sign at the town line for his senior project, is an Army major stationed in South Korea.
My family and I are civic-minded people who love this town. As a member of the Select Board, I will represent the town in a respectful manner and in the most fiscally responsible way. I am an approachable person, who can be seen most days walking up Jockey Hill Road.
If you have any questions, feel free to give me a shout when you see me out walking or give me a call at 838-6055.
With much gratitude,
Mary Beaudin
