What a great turnout for the NH State Primary Election! Thank you, Landaff Voters!

We have 309 registered voters and 112 voters showed their democratic spirit. 

36% was a great turnout for a Primary! Democracy is alive and well here in Landaff!

As Town Moderator, I would like to say that the Primary Election Day went

smoothly. This is in large part to the very experienced, professional, and knowledgeable

Election Workers that we have. The State of NH does a fine job with training seminars.

I want to thank Jaye Michaelis, Nate Hamilton, and Annette Kohler, the Supervisors of the Checklist.

With their election knowledge, the processing of unregistered voters runs smoothly.

Thank you to Ballot Clerks Dot Wiggins and Jen Cartwright for their diligence with the checklist. 

Thank you to Rachael Booth, Harry McGovern and his pro tem, Becky McGovern, and Mary Beaudin, the 

Landaff Select Board, for being Election Inspectors and Greeters. Rachael also sets up the ONE4ALL

voting booth. This booth can be accessed by anyone  who is hearing, seeing, or physically impaired.

Actually anyone can use this booth. Contrary to some public thinking, the voting in that booth does not

go straight to Concord!!  The printer prints the voter’s choices and the ballot is placed in the antique ballot box,

just like everyone else’s ballots. Thank you to Betsy Babcock as Election Inspector. 

She kept the voting booths clean, the pencils sharpened, and assured that each voter’s needs were met. 

Thank you to Town Clerk Cathy Ferony and her assistant Michelle Beaudin for 

all their work at the sign out table. A big thank you to those who counted ballots at the end of the evening. 

These people are professional, experienced, and trained and it shows. The numbers came out perfectly, 

the books were balanced, and I was one happy Moderator at the end of the evening! 

I also must mention that we ordered dinner from Lisbon Village Pizza. The order was filled perfectly, 

expeditiously, and was delicious, as usual. Thank you to Kelly West and her team at the Lisbon Village Pizza. 

The next time you come to vote will be the NH STATE ELECTION day on November 3, 2026.

 Polls open at 11:00am and close at 7:00pm. Absentee ballots will be counted at 1:00pm.  

If you are not a registered voter, you can register and vote on November 3. Bring your ID.

Show your democratic spirit and vote in November. Mark your calendars! See you then!
