Celebrate ACT’s 20th Anniversary at the Sunset Hill House!
SUGAR HILL – Come help the Ammonoosuc Conservation Trust (ACT) celebrate its 20th anniversary on Saturday, March 7 from 5 – 7 pm at the Sunset Hill House in Sugar Hill!
The festivities start at 4:30 pm with an optional, easy, walk around the Sunset Hill Golf Course. This and property surrounding the Sunset Hill House was one of the first pieces of land protected by ACT in 2002. You may need snowshoes for the walk, otherwise, we’ll be out in hiking boots with some light traction, if needed. We especially hope Mother Nature cooperates, so we’re treated to beautiful sunset views of the surrounding hills and mountains.
The party will officially start at 5 pm, with appetizers provided and a cash bar. Join the fun to catch up with old friends, make some new ones, and celebrate ACT’s 20 years. Since its start in 2000 and alongside a strong community of landowners, partner organizations, members and supporters ACT has helped conserve 32 properties in a dozen North Country towns. That’s over 5,000 acres (or nearly 7,000 football fields) permanently protected in the region.
A big thank you to the Sunset Hill House for co-sponsor this event. Although the party will wrap up at 7 pm anyone interested is welcome to stay and enjoy the delicious dinner fare in the restaurant.
Registration for this event is requested to help organizers, but not required. The walk will start promptly at 4:30 pm if you’d like to join please meet in the parking lot across the street from the inn by 4:25 pm. For more information about this event or to register please go to http://www.act-nh.org/education-events or call the office at (603) 823-7777.
